Why does Luke now think of his home as a prison rather than a sanctuary?
I think that if I was Luke it would feel like a prison because he has hide his whole life and can't go outside.
Like thinks that his brothers bully him because he never has to go to school, or take out the trash like they have to do. Also, he wants to travel around the neighborhood. And meet new friends.
Rhionnan, I understand what Luke's wishes are, however he used to consider his home a sanctuary - a place where he enjoyed being. He no longer feels this way. Why do you think his opinions changed?
His opinions changed because he can't eat dinner with his family, or look outside the window, or go to school, or go in the yard to play he can't do anything because he is the third child he can't even go to the store to with his family.
Lukes home felt like a prison because he didn't have certain privileges that his brothers have. His family keeps certain things away from him for his well-being like potato chips or the internet. Things that he has to find from Jen that his parents lied about combined with the fact that he cant cross certain boundries would certainly feel like a prison.
